“It’s not about what A.I. can do for you; it’s what you can do with A.I.” - ChatGPT, 2023

We are inviting educators, school/district leaders, and technologists to up their A.I. IQ. Join us for elevAtIon, the premier AI in Education Summit in New England at South Portland High School, Maine on Saturday January 13th, 2024.

International speaker Amanda Fox will kick off this first of its kind event with a keynote address to set the stage for an exciting day of exploration and  learning. Workshop sessions will involve participants in deeper learning about both the value and challenges of A.I. use in schools. Playspaces will provide hands-on experiences with A.I. products. Presenters from near and far will help you understand the AI in education landscape, and facilitate important discussions about how this pervasive technology will impact learning in your setting. All attendees will be provided a copy of Amanda’s book, "The AI Classroom" and be invited to an author-facilitated book study that will be launched at the Summit. If that’s not enough, door prizes and an after-hours social will make this an event you won’t want to miss.

While winter in Maine is not always the greatest place to be, our food and beverage options are world class, and high quality hotels are plentiful at their lowest rates of the year. This Summit will run in rain, sleet, snow or shine (maybe all four), and we encourage you to make the most of beautiful Portland for the long MLK weekend. Check out Visit Portland to help plan your trip.

Registrations for this event will be limited to only 150 people.

Cost is $150 for ACTEM and METDA members and $180 for non members

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

We are interested in having a range of learning experiences for elevAtIon Summit participants that explore all things A.I. in education (e.g. best instructional A.I. practices/tools, benefits and challenges of A.I. in schools, "how-to" tutorials, instructional leadership with emerging technologies). Partners and groups are encouraged to collaborate on proposals.

Presentation formats will include:
